Who would have guessed Pentax would be so popular among overclockers? It could be that these guys are used to getting more than than pay for, and here the K-7 delivers in spades. In many ways it's like buying a D300++ for 2/3 the price.

I'd be as happy as those blokes too, if I had one of my own.

Exactly. Guys who spend their time getting their fingers sliced open by HDD brackets know a thing or two about value.

God, it shits me when reviewers compare the K-7 only with cameras in the same price range.

Ah cheers, seen that thread but missed that guys post.
In that case hopefully they can fill my order this run... only "pre-ordered" this arvo before i checked the forums and seen the k7's had hit our shore. Would be nice to have a second body for an upcoming wedding.

battery is finally charged.

first impression, the build quality is amazing but the mag alloy is cold
2nd.. omg the shutter sound. it's so dampened.
3rd.. love the '5.2' fps!

AF and high iso quality, i'll leave that for the pro-reviewers :ugh: i don't care, i'm happy with my purchase!

Another happy customer here.

4th..I might even use the new straps they're supplying.

Much nicer looking with the red logo on black than the previous grey ones.
