K-7 is sealed, does not mean it can swim... Penax still needs to collect the big bucks from the increased prces, until then, they probably cannot afford the ferry
Did you not see the SWIM mode in the creative effects window?

just checked. Kerrisdale Coquitlam has none to see, but it seems the Vancouver stores may have just received shipment. Probably not even unpacked yet.

Anyways, I'll bide my time and see how this thing is.

Got mine today at Broadway camera on Broadway.

I think I heard the sales staff say I got their last one - but I was pretty excited at the time so my time in the store is a bit of a blur.

They do have one on display to try out.

EDIT: I did not pre-order.

that's nice to hear mate. was that the chinese fella that you were talking about or that old fella with a mustache? I guess there are a lot of buyers then. usually retail shops stock up from 6-12 units. probably there's more comin in.

Safe and secured indeed

and it was the gentleman with the mustache.

I pretty much went in, asked if it was in stock, and then played with the display for a couple minutes and then handed over the visa.

I guess I may be the first on the Island to have one when I get back tomorrow

good for you. so what made you buy the K-7 immediately? just too tempting to let go that easily? I'm sure brecklundin couldn't have resisted if they K-7 was in his hands. he might be sayin " screw the K20D, I'm getting to use this baby from now on". hey breck, can I have your K20D instead? lol

My K10D stopped working at the end of may, so I was in need of a new DSLR.

I just tried it out at a local camera store.
This is one heck of a camera. Feels like a pro model Canon/Nikon camera... but half the size!

Congrats to all who have it. You'll really enjoy it!

I'll pop into that shop on flex friday for a peak. I hope they let me put a card in and maybe mount a lens. I want to measurebate in the comfort of my own home.
