You could, you know... bug somebody; and Greg can't blame the French language manuals this time around, either, seeing as how the cameras are all over the place now!

Am I the first??....

to take the stupid metal shoulder strap lugs off? I guess they would be fine if you wanted to have the strap on.....but they will scratch it up otherwise.

Auto white balance seems to work perfectly! I'm not sure, but I don't think there is an artificial sound for the shutter....sounds like mechanical noise from the mirror going up only (which is great!).

It'll take a little time getting used to video. Keeping it in focus is a problem...but I think I'll get the hang of it. I probably won't use video much anyways.....or the digital filters. (I'm more likely to use old glass with a glass filter anyways..lol)

I hope it's not raining in the morning before work!

My K10D stopped working at the end of may, so I was in need of a new DSLR.

Thanks for rattling their cage a bit, Jack. Fingers crossed and itching to press a K-7 shutter button very soon!

Hopefully you get it soon. This thing is an absolute beauty. It's actually less wide than the K200D. Can you believe that? Power with less chunky!!!

My order is in at my local shop. I'm on an installment plan but will have it in 30 days or so! Imagine how many K-7 noise threads I'll have to endure between now and then!

Made the mistake of going to my local London Drugs here in PG. There it was behind glass with a $1599 tag on it. I asked for some brief hands-on time with it. Very nice. AF snaps in quickly. Size reminds me of my old LX with a winder attached. Didn't have time to do much else. Serious case of CBA now. Will have to wait until the sufficient funds arrive. BTW, they had one WR18-55 in stock but the WR50-200 was sold out.
