I had one preordered with them but WA had them in stores a couple days earlier. DCW were reporting up til Friday that they wouldnt have K7's til the 14th.

Some of the Camera Houses in Perth WA had em for a few days but alot sold out already

Local store had an A4 ad of the K-7 posted up on their window front.
I inquisitively went in and looked at their display window - a PICTURE of a K-7 propped up amongst the Nikons and Canons in the flesh...
Went over to the storeman and asked... 'Oh no, there won't be a Pentax K-7 coming in for many months yet... Sold the initial batch and still have 250 on backorder... no point on waiting to see it come through the store...'

Oh yes, I don't doubt there would be some available to buy in Oz.
Wanted just to test drive one, hold it in my hands and see how it feels.
Would have to go to Brisbane to do that - if they have any at the moment...

That's where I'll be getting my next camera from.Prices are alot cheaper compared to alot of other places.

Camera House never "ran out" of it, so to speak.. Maybe because they are asking $200 more than any other places and only sell it with an 18-55.

Had a go at a K7 while @ PMA in sydney and I kinda like the k20d better.The K7 felt small like and I didnt like it that much.While the AF did raise a twinkle overall feel didnt appease
