Most likely yes. Seems to be legit, but if there are no additional features or performance increase (like actually usable iso range) nothing but another very useless, very-compact.
F3.6-4.8 -Bad
36mm min -Bad
No buttons -Bad
1/2.3" - Bad Bad Bad
IS - real or digital?
10 modes - yess but no REAL modes (portrait1, portrait2, dog poo, grass, macro, polo)
Maybe Water resistant? -Does not look like one.

Sorry about being so negative, but seriously why bother making new camera every other month if it's the same old s**t.
I understand there are physical limitations to some of the compacts features, but then why oh why push them to the limits if no one needs it anyway (12 Mpix for example.. my fuji has the, but as soon as you leave iso 64 it gets like 3.2 Mpix equivalent resolution painting anyway, and even at iso 64 it has pale colours and weird filtering artefacts anyway).

How about start up times. Most of P&S are so SLOOOOW.

And the design. Why do they keep continuing that crappy plastic film P&S style. How many classic shaped, precision metal crafted point and shoots with full/pleasant hardware controls are there.
If you have a fixed lens, why there is no P&S with range finder manual focussing. Best case is trough the wire lcd 100% magnification. How about a pretty, big, bright optical viewfinder with constructive shooting parameter overlay that dosn't drain the batteries like crazy and allows the camera to be always standby and snap a picture with just the touch of shutter release?

If the image quality often is acceptable there are only few designs that give you the feel of a real camera, attracting you by being a respectable, pretty, well taught and designed camera instead of some consumer plastic fantastic with mega shiny megapIXELZ blinging letterz.
Canon G9.. maybe and JUST MAYBE, and its big and costs almost like an DSLR.

So damn those consumer c***s marketing divisions, crippled and near non existent competition. And this is because people would buy anything, so you release the same camera as new in five years and they will buy it. That's why there is no real competition and original developments from manufactures to stand out.

I like the zoom range, but f/3.6 maximum aperture? I wonder how good of a lens this will be.
