So yeah, it basically IS a Pentax design with PENTAX engineers.
There are Pentax patents for 16-50 and 50-135's optical design in patents' base of USA and Japan. No Tokina patents for this lenses. It's fact.

US 11/672224 is the 50-135.
Yes. You are right.

The review is up!

Pentax Lens: Zooms - Pentax 60-250mm f/4 ED IF SDM SMC DA* - SLRgear.com!

"Conclusion

Optically, the Pentax 60-250mm 4 is a winner: with excellent results for sharpness, even wide open, low amounts of CA and virtually no light falloff or distortion, it's an easy decision if you're already considering this lens and just needed to know whether or not it performed."

Enjoy!

K-7. I just tested them side by side. The k-7 can just barely get clean shots at 1/13, and the K20d can just barely get shots at 1/20. Part of it is that I feel like the whole shutter process from depressing the button to the shutter going off is much smoother and doesn't cause as much camera shake, but I also feel like SR is clearly improved.

SR has improved in the K-7 because its not multidirectional instead of just horizontal and vertical like in the previous system.

Anyway, Excellent review for this lens ... looks like another glass is on my amazon wish list
