I wish that was the case. But weekly sales for some models can fluctuate widely, K-m being one of them. The more telling sales chart is the monthly one such as July 2009; K-m came in at #19 & #30, while K-7 can only achieve #26 & #37. A bit below what I expected or what I was hoping for.

The August will be much better with the 8th,11th and now 7th place for the K-m dual kit for the past three weeks. The single lens kit hovers around number 20 also, and this week both K-7 variants (body only and kit) rose up to 25th and 21st respectively Even the *old* K200D dual kit managed to get to 25th place.

I don't believe that Pentax has to get that high in the sales leagues. When you consider the small share of the market they have, any increase in actual market percentage could be considered a success (however minor) for Pentax.
