Interesting thing is now we can't really complain about pentax "caring more about colors than the photographic aspects of the camera" since it's pretty high-specced for an entry level...

And here's a simulator to design your favorite color!
????????????PENTAX K-x ????????
In the simulator, you can see that there will be 4 more grip colors coming (grayed out), and you will be able to select lens color too (link not yet active).

This is a REALLY clever move by Pentax.

It's the Swatch Watch of the DSLR world.

Now this matches "Be interesting"!

Neat. I must agree that the body has high specs. This may hint that there will be no k200d sucessor.
But the colour thing is just fantastic. Hell you interchange lenses, flashes, cards batterries and what not... why not have a colour choice aswell .

hmm....

if the standard black one has a black DA L lens, the white one has a white DA L lens, and the red one has a red DA L lense.... then...

I will prefer for a camouflage K-X with grip and Kit len with WR!

Anyway, nice move for Pentax with a great price and specs!

This bold move from Pentax made me more excited than when K-7 was announced. Impressed with color variations and high specs packed in such a tiny body. I would not buy one, but K-x will certainly attract many potential customers who are new to DSLRs.

In this internet age, Pentax's decision to sell customizable cameras through their internet website might be a right one (according to Pentax Japan's website, customers will first submit orders to Pentax directly, then Pentax will ship the camera directly to customers or customers' local camera store in two weeks). I hope this explains recent Pentax's decisions to remove their products from lots of camera stores and really hope that Pentax continues to survive and even grow bigger.

With so-called 3D TVs being developed by several electronic companies, one day we might no longer need to touch actual products before purchasing them.

A lot of those color combos are really ugly. They should just stick with the black grip or offer the grip in the same color as the body.

It reminds me of the Kodak Vanity series. Apple got the same idea, and now it's Pentax's turn
