There is that one, but I was referring to a 30mm lens. I doubt you will see a DA WR 30 f1.8 or f2.0 ...if they do make a 30 mm prime that's faster than f2.8 it would likely be a DA* series ...and perhaps a f2 in the limited series. I don't think there is a market for fast primes in a lens grade that is designed and priced to appeal to the plebeian masses. Those folks go for zooms!
No people moan because they do not have an affordable normal lens. On APS-C a normal lens is 30-35mm as is the 50/1.8 from Canon on film/FF.

The affordable "normal" lenses today are kit zooms....

I think affordable bright-ish 28/30mm and an 85mm would be pretty great. I would especialy like an AF 28mm prime but could not justify spending "limited" money on it, not when I have a 16-50 to cover that range.

A couple key primes at affordable prices are an asset to any lens catalog - they may not be huge sellers but are very much appreciated by photogprahy students and other people on a shoestring budget.

No reason they couldn't make a cheaply-manufactured 35/2 or so for about $149 msrp.

But people here moan because Canon has 50 and 85mm cheap versions, and Nikon a nice fast 35mm for APS-C.

I don't say I agree, I say people moan about it.

Hell i'd buy another FA35 f2 straight away if they dressed it up as a DA Limited, what with quick shift focusing, new coatings and a built in hood. Yeh bit close to the 35 2.8 ay.
DA* might be cool with the weather sealing but i've never held a DA* prime.
