Happy? Or is thirty seconds of adjusting the saturation in photoshop, and shooting on overcast days just too much to bear?

(Ned, if you don't like me using the photo, let me know.)

as for review - I said before that even AA lithium is no good during LV and video.
Yes. I heard this is exactly the reason why Spielberg rejected the K-x to shoot his next feature.

High ISO of K-x, D5000, and T1i / 500D

http://informationondigitalcamera.blogspot.com/2009/10/pentax-k-x-nikon-d500...canon-eos.html

D5000 kills the K-x in detail... however, the review itself state K-x has "excellent" vs D500's "nice." D5000 does have some weird stuff / noise going on in the red flower that makes it hard to see the edges in the 6400 card comparison. K-x seems to have destroyed the detail a la NR - atypical with Pentax!

Looking at the test images themselves separately seems to show the conditions don't seem exactly the same - lighting or exposure looks different, K-x has a wider FOV.

I read the review on ephotozine, it does sound very promising indeed. I think they went into a little too much detail about the cross processing modes, I just don't think it's a very important feature. Sure it's nice to be able to apply neat digital filters right in the camera, but I just don't see it being a ground breaking feature or anything of high use in normal shooting scenarios.

I am pretty excited about the exmor sensor if that is indeed what the k-x has. The high ISO shots are pretty impressive for a camera at that price point, although I do agree that the NR looks a little high. I'm sure they'll have 3 settings for it like most do I'd think. I haven't had the time to see much about how the image quality is for the Sony DSLR with the exmor, so I don't know how good the sensor is for normal lighting really, other than this review of course.

On another note, I called the Pentax web store a couple days ago and the guy on the phone said they'd have it in stock (at least the single lens kit in black, that's all i asked, but i'd think the 2 lens kits would be too) on the 19th in the US.

The above comparison has such different exposures, framings, and such blatant JPEG artifacts in all the images that it is utterly pointless to try to judge anything at all by it.

Out of curiosity, can someone point me to a side by side image of the K7 next to a K-x? Both are small cameras but are they about the same size?

okej, the battery isnt as good as expepted in this camera but, how bad?

i think that if he is gonna say it is the weakest point of the camera, he should study it a bit more because, 24h?

so, 24h = 86400s, 86400s * 4,7fps= 406080 pictures with one set, it seems pretty fair to me

waiting for a more in depth review...

I think the top right is the K-M and the K-X should be the same size (?) K-7 Is in the middle

The top-right is the K200D. The K-m (and K-x) is even smaller.

techradar review:

Pentax K-x review from TechRadar UK's expert reviews of Digital SLRs

it says that one of the advantages is the batteries, which is twice the rest of the mid-range dslr with ion lithium.

they also say video is not very good

so? good or bad? 1-1 for now...

Like most of the HD-capable DSLRs we've seen, such as the Nikon D300S, the Pentax produces excellent quality video.

Agreed, the only thing they say is bad is the rolling shutter effect when compared to other brands. But they say the SR significantly reduces it but don't make a comparison after SR is enabled.

I'm curious about the aperture control - is it set only at the beginning of the video or can you change it while recording? and with K-mount lenses with aperture ring, will it stop it down when changing the focus ring?
