they also say video is not very good

so? good or bad? 1-1 for now...
Like Nikon's Motion-JPEG cameras, video quality from the Pentax K-x DSLR is excellent.

they say it is more sensitive to 'jello' effect than other HD-DSLRs they have tested, what are you comparing with? a flip?

2 of 4 cons are about video, i am not saying it is bad, but it is "not very good" indeed.

dont understand bad, i am not trolling or something, i will buy this camera for sure, i am just trying to see all the good and bad things about it

There is JELLO effect in ALL DSLR with video. In expensive DSLR less, in low-end - more.

I have a look at this pictures from K-x.
Pentax K-x - Flickr: Search

It seems to me that it's the worst pictures from Pentax DSLR I've ever seen....
The colours are no good for my eyes. The balance of colour/contrast/tones are no good at all. Auto WB is no good too.

It's the best JPEG between ALL PENTAX DSLR.

So you pick four examples that are a) shot into the sun, b) rife with camera shake, or c) extremely high ISO, and bitch about the quality? Nice.

(Anyway, not being a JPEG shooter this means nothing at all to me.)

I've copy some samples taken by the K-x. Some colors are pale and some are great. I resize the photo from sample images taken by Kx.

Forgive him, it's not like he can help it! I tried to make a pattern of his behavior taking into account moon phases and it seems it's not that. Could be the voices that whisper in his head about Pentax products that never materialize? Or simply a FF self induced depression?

Maybe someone with a medical training can come out with a better diagnose?

These are right up his alley in terms of style...soooo...dont expect too much (except more of the same drivel).

There was a thread where Ogl called another member a bad photographer...because they didnt use the AF points in the VF. Lets just say I compared galleries and found an obvious winner in that debate.

If you have a look at right sample closely - it's easy to understand that K-7's sensor has MUCH better colour filters and better colours even at default.

*It's official sample from Pentax site.

Show me the same from flickr.

There are something better...But if it's the best samples. I'm sorry.

As for JPEG and RAW.
I don't remember such JPEG from Pentax cameras.
Even with auto WB and auto mode.

It's indicator of how good or bad sensor and colour filters.

Low noise - yes, it seems to me, K-x is better than even *ist DS at ISO1600/3200.

K-x is like Nikon and Sony's IQ with the same 12 MP sensor.
The green, yellow and orange differ from CCD.
The blue is pale. It's typical CMOS IQ in some respect.

When you have no any arguments about K-x IQ, you decided to discuss my personality?
You've ordered new toy (K-x) and you don't like what I say about K-x's jpeg...It's nursery school.

As for AF points in VF...
It was joke. Galleries? Ha-ha...I have 40 000 pictures and downloaded only 10-20 photos in web (with most neutral subject). What could you compare?

ogl, maybe you should actually go out and personally shoot with a Pentax K-x and post up the photos before making any definitive comments and conclusions about the new camera's image quality. It is all too easy to be an armchair critic and comment on other people's photos and make subjective judgments.

I've owned the *ist DL2, K100D, K100D Super, K10D, K20D, (used the K-m briefly) and now the K-7 and until I've actually tested a camera in person, I don't even dare to make the kind of claims that you make, especially image quality wise. BTW what other Pentax cameras have you owned and used at length besides your K200D?

I don't want to spend money to test K-x.
K-x kit is $1000 in Russia
