Just checked. Officeworks now have the Pentax K-x with kit lens (black colour) in stock for A$799. White/red colours kit are not available.

At a retail OfficeWorks store? For the K-x? Which store?

There is nothing on their web site. But then again their site has always struck me as disconnected from what the rest of the business is doing.

Yes. at the retail officeworks store. Apparently the cam is so new it hasn't been updated to the online catalogue but I called them yesterday and they told me they are now available but only in black.

My gut feeling is that JB Hifi and Harvey Norman will start stocking them very soon.

I got a brand new K7, local stock, from Vanbar Imaging down in Melbourne last week for $1250....

They've got a clearance sale on, and last I heard there were 8 units left at $1250

Do they do postal orders,because that would have to the best price I've seen from local stock anywhere.I might have to check out thier website.Thanks pop4.

Yeah, they got it up to me in Sydney from Melb using Star Track Express and total was just under $1300

It's the big yellow $500,000 Stock Clearance on their website.
