I think what would be really telling is if they would put seals on the FA limited, how would they rename them...

Am I the only one NOT to notice the lack of the very much appreciated SDM feature on that barrel?

I found this on the Russian Penta-club forum in a topic titled "The future of Pentax". Is this the DA* 300/4 lens or is it bigger?

I suspect we will see a DA14/2.8 WR soon. .
I doubt it. This lens is probably being discontinued.

It's intertesting to note pentax hasn't updated the lens roadmap since march or not the publicaly available one anyway. Quite a few things have changed since then.

Pentax does no more show the roadmap - the roadmap in the internet is an old one. As far as i know they don`t want to give the competition to much information as they did in the past.

And I am disapointed because the lense does not have a focus limiter or at least a clamp. On the german website is written: "The lense construction is based on the construction of the D FA 100 mm macro. A clamp exists no more..."

This combined with its price, the lense won't be in my camera bag. I'll take the very good Tamron 90 - focus limiter, half price, excellent macro, good protrait lense and usable as a 90mm tele lense.

Ah Shite! I just bought one last week! But I'm already thinking of returning it because I think I'd prefer the 15mm limited. I'm going to give it a test in cambodia and see how I handle it.

A wr flash would be awesome!

Anway I just found this on th uk site with a cropped sample photo

That guy must be 4 feet tall or have extremely small hands to make a K-7 look that big

And I have to second the nonsensical lighting on the camera and lens only...
