True, but for layout in new subdivisions and topo of farmers fields it can't be beat, even on normal municipal roads for reconstructions the GPS is the way to go. The GPS for x,y and a laser level for z allows much faster layout.

Unfortunately Pentax never got into GPS units (now neither did Leica) but their total stations were quite nice, and fairly economical.

But this sale has absolutely nothing to do with the camera division, so everyone should stop worrying.

And they should have: would have been stupid if they didn't. It does not mean they have to break in as many pieces as possible for resale but at the same time, I'd probably do the same if I was Hoya.
