I have posted some statistics on shipping time above. Multiple people have reported less than a week as shipped time. This of course does not include delivery time.

I ordered December 29th, arrived January 6th. Remember, that was over New Years Eve and New Years Day, as well.

Your estimated ship date will sound ridiculous and your estimated arrival date will sound even more so.

Be patient and do not worry about the crazy dates they list.

You WILL have your camera in a reasonable amount of time judging from many, many, many others who have ordered them over the past month and a half or so.

Got in on this deal last night. Looks like the price is back up today. I can wait a few weeks, I'll just keep using the K-x i'm "renting" from Wal-Mart

It's not quite as good a deal as that. You're getting the cheapo version of the 55-300 with the plastic mount, you also don't get a hood. I think optically it's the same so as long as you're not planning on selling it you're fine. Nevertheless, it is a great deal although realistically, I think this price is where the kit should be at anyway.

That's a very tempting deal with 2 lens and excellent body. However, I end up buying the K-7 body with lens kit for $950. I just wish I can have a mixed body of K-7 with K-x censor ....

What do you mean? I just checked Pentax K-x 12.4 MP Digital SLR with 2.7-inch LCD and 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL and 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED Lenses (Black) and the price is up, but not that much. It is 648.99 instead of 643.99 as it was a while back. Still a good deal.

Don't forget the kit lens's that come with the K-x are DAL not DA.

So they are the low cost ones.

- No quick shift focus.
- No Hood.
- plastic mount ring.

Read what others have had to say about the DAL series lens's before you make a decision.

Ordered mine on Sunday Jan 17th, got a shipping estimate of Feb 8 to Mar 9.
On Monday Jan 18th the estimate got changed to Jan 26th.

Well that's a bummer. I ordered my on the the 12th and it still says Feb 3 as a ship date.
