Well, if we're wishing, I'd like to see an UWA lens. Ideally, lets go with a DA limited 10, 11 or 12mm f/5.6 that's weather-sealed and has no built-in retractable hood which extends past the filter-threads when the hood is fully retracted. F/5.6, you ask? I'd like to see the filter thread remain at between 49 and 52mm in diameter. Otherwise, I'll settle for a DA* 11-16 or something similar. Otherwise, I may have to get the 15mm and take a hack-saw to the lens-hood so my small army of filters will work on it.

For cameras, I'll say the 645d will be offically announced within the next 2 months and come with a summer release, meaning the glass covers will be removed at it's announcement and it'll be there for the masses to fondle. The k-x and k-7 will remain for the duration of the year and a new k-x type camera will be announced this fall. The k-7 will remain viable until spring next year and the replacement will be launched late spring/early summer next year.

For the super telephoto, I'll guess that something will be announced along the lines of a 400mm f/4 which will (in the eyes of Pentax) replace the FA*600 f/4 and come with a relatively hefty price-tag....likely in the 4k range. We likely won't see this product until early next year at the earliest (except perhaps painted tubes under glass).

Of course not as this will kill the current sales of the K-7 instantly.
I would be terribly disappointed if a "replacement" for the K7 comes out any time soon because I have just recently acquired one!
I would entertain the idea of replacing my very new K7 only if it came with a sensor capable of producing perfectly noiseless images at ISO 1600-3200. The rest of the camera is just perfect for me.
Then again, this noise issue has been debated high and wide all over, but that is not really a problem once you know how to deal with it. Details remain.

Pronto please, you promised us that lens a loong time ago.
Need it february 14th for some nice carnaval shooting.

really this is the one prime missing now.
Isn't Samsung coming out with this sort of lens, and will be announcing a K-mount adapter fairly soon?

1) 645D with 3 lenses at the first half or the year.
2) Couple of new lenses for K system.
3) K-8 replacement of K-7 at the end of the year. With new AF system SAFOX IX

I think the K7 is probably going to be at low ebb at the end of the summer. The thing that will spur new K7 sales is when the price drops to around 700-800 dollars. A lot of people bought K20s around the time that the K7 was announced, mainly because it had become too good a deal to pass up. At that point, the same arguments will be made of the K7 versus the announced K8 as were made about the K20 versus the (then announced) K7.

Ok, let's play (by the way, the new 100 macro WR in in the hand of costumeres right now, lurchlarson).
Really? Didn't know that. Where can you find one? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

I hope for:
b) K300D, K-y WR, K-5 WR- in short, a WR successor for K200D; a K-7x whatever that means would be fine too
Lets get a hold of ourselves here!

NO camera will ever make a camera with one of those names...specifically the 2ND name. K-y does not a good camera name make, in the words of Yoda.

Some people might have very positive associations with the name "K-Y" :P

What I want

Besides all the 645D stuff that better come out, I will tell you what I want to see....

50mm 1.2 under $500 - I think we all are waiting for an update to this lens (and make it FF)

85mm 1.4 - FF AF successor to the legendary A*

K7 firmware upgrade to allow choice on 30 or 24 fps for video - seems like many people want the fewer frames...

K12 - K7 with Sony Kx sensor instead, but again has 30/24 frame choice (I choose to have the name of the camera to reflect the sensor size, therefore you should never have the problem Nikon is having with name overlap)

70-200 2.8 * lens - This is the bread and butter zoom, a size everyone has. Pull the old FA* blueprints out and reintroduce this bad boy.

Power teleconverter - I don't care if its 1.4 or 2x, just give me a Pentax branded converter that has a pass-through power points to run any SDM/power zoom lens....

I don't know...I used to live near the "K-Y Quickie Mart" (small grocery store). It seemed quite popular!

I thought that the 50-135 f/2.8 was the pentax version of the 70-200, just adapted for field of view issues brought on by APS-C.

the 60-250 is f/4 that is not fast enough to replace a 70-200.

I don't know if we'll see a 50 f/1.2 or the 85mm either. I think Pentax intends for the 55mm f/1.4 to cover both of those.

a power TC would be great though. I wish they would have that.
