Pentax to announce Optio H90 & Optio I-10 cameras

Wait, what are we pissed about?

That a consumer P&S camera looks like the old 110, is called the I-10, and isn't their idea of what a digital 110 should be?

What if it had been called the Pentax ASDFHU? The Pentax CCMIUHB? The Pentax It's Just A F*cking Point And Shoot, Get Over It?

Then again, maybe it was named after the IJN submarine I-10, which was sunk off Saipan by the destroyer USS David W. Taylor and destroyer escort USS Riddle on the 4 of July, 1944.

You might have some genuine complaints about depth rating and durability, then, come to think of it.

I was actually trying to get an Olympus Stylus 720, 770, 850 SW but the used ones are going over a hundred so, I went and thought about Pentax which I saw they were selling for $149.95, and that is brand new complete with accessories!
I was going to buy one when their supply would reach 20+ but when I saw that they where selling fast, I just went for it and bought one before they ran out!
It is the black & gold one too and not the ordinary red or blue one!

Sorry to the OP 'bout this one but somebody mentioned the W80 too so I guess this is ok..I hope.

Anyway, I think it is a step forward in the sense that the style is really eye grabbing. I'll hold out hope that eventually they'll come out with a P&S that can rival models from Panasonic, Canon and Ricoh.

It is real stylish though and I bet very attention grabbing to a lady who is looking for a P&S camera!
This would actually sell great to that target market.
