$1258.40 CAD!!! I believe that's BEFORE rebate, so if we apply the $100 rebate, that would likely be $1158.40 CAD.

This is compared to $720 USD at Amazon. So even taking into account the rebate in Canada, it's still $400+ cheaper in the US. And that's not taking into account PST and GST.
Meanwhile, our currencies are worth almost the same, the lenses are all made in the same place, and they're subject to the exact same import fees. While (most of) the rest of Canada has adjusted their pricing to account for the current exchange rate, some stubborn companies insist on ripping us off. Those companies have no right to bitch when I buy all my stuff in the US instead. I'd HAPPILY pay the PST and GST if the prices could be more reasonable over here, but they're not, so too bad.
