EVIL???

I do not hink Pentax should go down this road until it has a FF ofering or goes into 4/3 club.

Going it alone could be the death of the company as it will have to develop a range of lenses if it goes into it alone and - I feel - FA's / SFAs would be abetter use of resources right now.

Just my 2 pence.

Bill

What does "LX like" design means?

It seems strange designing a small all mechanical operated manual focus EVIL with a big and bright optical VF.

I don't know if this camera has EVF or OVF. I doubt about EVF.
Maybe LV + OVF (as optional or in-body). I have no any info.

It means just what I've wrote - BODY DESIGN. Close to form of LX

Ok, so do you think it could be like the EP1 but with a paralax corrected viewfinder?

It wouldn't be very LX like in that case. i just asumed if LX it would be SLR like.

Interesting. When is it to be launched do you think?

Ok, so it the size of the body of LX.
In that case, could it be a larger version of Samsung NX10?

Hmm, I'm torn. I really want Pentax to make a full frame version of the LX (in DSLR form). Plus, I also think they should be in the EVIL market. I'm not sure that I'd be 100% happy with an EVIL LX, but I'm about 90% certian I'd buy it if the built in EVF is excellent.

I do think there is a small niche for a high grade EVIL. People on the m4/3's forums are eagerly awaiting a weather sealed Olympus PEN with built in view finder. Something like that really would be the ultimate street shooter and hiking camera. It also sounds very much like the camera Luminous Landscape wants Leica to build.

If electronic viewfinders improve to the point that they are as good as optical finders, I'm all for them, but they have a very, very long way to go.
