But I want to believe, and this is far more reliable than any holy book as far as I'm concerned

Good point, and like the D-FA 100 mm WR, I'm not going to believe this stuff is real until it is actually confirmed, as that is counterproductive. Still, I'm not seeing anything there that is that unrealistic as far as predictions go.

I fail to see why they would limit the zoom at 1.6x with f/4? A little more than 16mm would be more sensible.
Quality wont be for "star" lens

Yes, but these lenses actually make sense, so, it's false :P

If the range 16-35 is good enough for a "L", 10-20 can't be that hard for a "*".

I have a deposit ready for a 20 f/2 - as soon as I finish saving for the 15mm/4

If it were a Limited I would donate a kidney for the privilege

Full frame 20 or 21 (or equivalent APS-C 28mm to 31mm) is my favorite focal length - it has always just felt right. The 21 f/3.2 has always seemed too slow

I already have the 31mm waiting for a full frame body, so

I think this is posing the question, "why not D-FA lenses in the 20mm?"

DA*10-16/4 SDM is 100% real. IMO. This lens is from text of article.

As for photo of DA*10-16, it's real too IMO.

DA*20 and DA*28 - I doubt that photos are real.

For me it makes perfect sense to stop the zoom at 16.
Look...

DA Star 10-16
DA Star 16-50
DA Star 50-135

They are not overlapping!

Would this focal length/aperture combo indicate FF coverage like Nikon's 12-24 f/4

True but personally I don't mind a little overlapping in my setup... 10-20 f/4 + 16-50 f/2,8 would be nice!

Someone in my local community said the lenses are just speculations by the magazine. Now that I look more closely the 10-16 looks awfully like the 16-50, except the front element

Well, even if it's all speculation... at least the Japanese magazine sees the same holes in Pentax's product (camera and lens) lineup that we do. I'm totally down with f/4 for a 10-16mm lens. At that focal length, ultimate speed isn't all that necessary - especially if the lens is sharp when wide open. And f/2 for a 28mm lens is also just fine - as long as the lens is sharp wide open and doesn't cost too much. It can't be that close in price to the FA 31mm Limited.

They said about DA*10-16/4 as example of future development of line of APS-C lenses with SDM.
