The text is very small. As for DA* primes - I can't read. But I don't see in text of article any info.

There is very little chance that Pentax will release a FF for awhile, it's mainly about about the 645D for the pros and the APS-C for the hobbyists. If I were you, I'd better put that energy towards expecting an 645D instead. If anything were to be close to a FF at all alongside with the 645D at PMA, it would be a higher-end APS-C that will not be a K-7 replacement.

I also don't think the 645D would cost that much when it comes out, Pentax wouldn't release not even a medium format for that "cheap". I would probably expect it more towards the 3-5k price range, after all this is Pentax and I don't think anybody would buy it if it were 9k.

I hope the 28 F2 is priced similar to the Canon 28 F1.8 at around $460. Neither Nikion or Cannon offer a 20 F2 lens currently , I can not see it costing less the $800 (the 20mm F2.8 is $460).

That would be the cheapest DA* so far, do not forget that these DA*'s are weathersealed with the best build quality by Pentax. However since this is Pentax it's possible, but then again the FA 50/1.4 is retailing at 400 now.

Best build quality? Aren't you the guy that started the SDM petition?

Refering to how Pentax sees it It appears they market them as their top of the line professional lenses.

Thanks, but I didn't do anything! I've only posted it here, but other people made threads on the UK Pentax forum, French Pentax forum, Dpreview, etc. So the votes really racked up from all that.

I'm with you. My concern is that imo, it will be hard to motivate the crowd to buy an upmarket aps-c camera in a few years when FF seems to be cheaper every generation. And if up market crop cameras is hard to sell, a pro line of small image circle lenses will be even more so.

weren't the 1650mm and 50-135mm the first sdm lenses available? I certainly hope the follow-up lenses have improved sdm design.

Interesting

Very interesting. I'd love both the da* 20mm and the 28mm but all I can say is if they're sdm only I hope its a reworked faster version of sdm as the da* 50mm was a bit of a stinker in respects to is focusing speed.

Yes, but these lenses actually make sense, so, it's false :P
That was my reasoning for believing the 100 Macro was real: Because it didn't make sense. So I agree with you that this should be a false rumour because it does make sense

Has anyone else noticed the fine print below the "28mm" says 50mm? Plus, it obviously looks identical to the 50mm/1.4. This rumor is starting to smell.

EDIT: I think it might say SDM actually. Damn my vision sucks.
Yeah, it says SDM(japanese character), not 50MM.

Sorry to spoil the fun, it seems there have been Nikon speculations from the same source lately which did not come true:

Busted! | Nikon Rumors
New Pentax lenses | Photo Rumors

A 20 f2 would have been great, I might even drop my M 20/4 for it!
