Hm.... Very interesting read, I must say. No surprises here personally.

A K200d replacement would be amazing! I wouldn't mind a 28mm F/2 either

May only be a "forecast", but hope they're right on the shape of the new "K-m2".
Hope Pentax doesn't take that name on, though.

They also point out some good/bad points about the lenses and say they would work well with the K-7.

Can't really make anything else out..small print and slightly poor Japanese ability...

Hard to say what I feel about these if they are real.
The 28 will be very welcome to finaly silence all those give us fast normal prime people. Though I can't see it being cheaper than 31ltd...
As far as the DA*20 goes... well, I'd rather see DA*24. There is already DA21, fair enough it's not SDM and not WR but it's there. Rather than competition (numbers wise) it would be better to seal the gap between 21 and 31 (or 28 when it comes out).

DA*
10-16/4
16-50/2.8
50-135/2.8
60-250/4

20*1.54 = 30.8 mm
28*1.54 = 43.1 mm

He-he...

I really think it's what the magzine has picked out as suitable lenses for the Pentax line-up, in particular the K-7.
There appears to be leaks and no source.

They're probaly, to no surprise, right on the 645.

Interesting choice of lenses, regardless.

I had been holding out on buying a wide angle lens, hoping for Tokina's 11-16/2.8 from Pentax for doing low-light wide angle photography. Maybe I'm the only one, but 10-16/4 has no appeal to me at all. I would rather go with the more portable 15/4 limited or the more practical (and probably cheaper) 12-24/4 instead.

What will you plan to shoot at super-wide angle with f2.8?

It comes in handy when doing indoor ultrawide shots. I used that Tokina at f/2.8 here:

Still though, I think ultrawide zooms are pretty much pointless. I'd rather just have a 17mm f/2.8 (in full frame terms). I hardly ever used my Tokina anywhere other than 11mm's. So the zoom was just pointless bulk to me. I'd rather have an ultrawide prime and then a 24-xx zoom to go with it.

Great shot. Love the perspective.

I completely agree on UWA zooms. I have the 10-17 fisheye, and it's pretty much a 10mm prime as far as I'm concerned. I know if I had a 11-16/2.8 it would be the same deal. I would much rather have a 10 or 12 f/2.8 prime than a zoom. And I also agree with whoever said that a 11-16/4 has no appeal. If it's not f/2.8, then I'd rather have 12-24/4 which give one less mm on the wide side, and 8 more mm on the long side, for the same aperture. If my dreams were to come true, they would releae a 10/2.8 fisheye, and a 12/2.8 non-fisheye, both DA*. The jump from 12mm to the 16-50 wouldn't bother me at all. Right now I have the 16-50 and the 14/2.8, and the extra 2mm is rarely a big enough different for me to take the 16-50 off the camera and put the 14 on. 12/2.8 would be so much better, but I'm not in charge.

It would be nice if it is all true.

The camera to me looks as a entry-level camera to be put on the market next to the K-7 and the K-x at a cheaper price and a lower level of specs. Remember the money is being earnd at the bottom site of the camera-market.

I love to have the 20/f2 and the 28/f2 lenses. I'll sell my 14/f2,8 mm and 21/f3,2 mm immediatly.

Pentax K-x price drops again: now $470 with one-lens, $574/$650 with two-lenses - 1001 Noisy Cameras

is it strange? so quick and big drop of price. K-x is just 5 month old
