Hasselblad H4D-60 with 80mm Lens $41,995.00

Hasselblad H4D-60 with 80mm Lens - HA1516 -

The H4D-60 is the top model of Hasselblad camera family. It sets a new standard for camera handling, image detail and image resolution. With a 60Mpix sensor covering the classic 645-format, it provides the basis for optimal lens performance with the HC lenses at lens factor 1.0, and the HCD lenses at lens factor 1.0 with a marginal crop. For developing your creative expression the H4D-60 takes full advantage of the Hasselblad HTS 1.5 tilt/shift adapter. With its unique large and bright viewfinder image, its wide range of quality lenses matching the best of the icon lenses from Carl Zeiss, and its wide choice of accessories, the H4D-60 is the ultimate camera choice for the professional photographer.

The H4D-60 features a CCD sensor measuring 40,2×53,7mm – more than twice the physical size of the largest 35mm DSLR sensors. Basic ISO rating is from ISO 100 to ISO 800. The H4D-60 makes use of a new high speed capture architecture capturing full size, compressed 80Mbyte images at the rate of 1.1 seconds per capture, working either mobile or tethered to a computer. The combination of these features makes the H4D-60 the natural choice for the professional commercial photographer wanting to work with the highest image resolution within a camera system that supports ultimate creative expression in order to deliver outstanding image quality to satisfy the most demanding requirements.

Many have questioned that a camera capable of 30, 40, or 50 MP is a desirable thing to have.

Therefore, I post a sample photo which has been made publicly available by photographer Petter Hegre.

The original image contains nudity but can be shown to kids in all western countries w/o limitation. Nevertheless, I censored the attached 10% sample image because I know that Adam is more restrictive in this regard.

Shot with a H3DII-50 in November 2009.

Attached image with only 1/100 of original pixels (by Petter Hegre):
This is precisely the reason I can't wait to get back to Europe in April

The detail is so good I can make out the individual grass blades on the landing strip.

I think that was a reference not to 36x24mm sensors, but to cameras w/ various 35mm lens mounts - where you have inside anything from (largest) FF sensors down to the (smallest) APS-C 1.7x sensor from SIGMA

Being French, I just HAD to look!

BTW, from the look on his face, my 7 year old does not completely concur with your assesment that it "can be shown to kids in all western countries w/o limitations"... on the other hand, he was born in the USA so...

Well what did you know? Her 100% cotton underwear is only suitable for 30 degree wash.

She should had opted for some 60 degree stuff instead.

And yes, even as a westerner I'm indeed upset of her poor choice of underwear quality, she should had known better.

It would appear that by gaining so much detail, we lose some imagination!

I must say that camera/sensor quality is a vast improvement over X ray spectacles, if the 645D can do this they will sell like hotcakes!
