Don't know...

Isn't 64k enough for everyone? I begin to think Bill was right. At this size we can reproduce the lass at greater than life size.

Talk about attack of the 50' woman. (Not that I'm objecting mind.)

Not Bill's fault. The original PC was designed with a nice, clean 1 megabyte address range. But then, for whatever horrible cost-saving reason, the top 384k of that address space was reserved for hardware access — you could write directly into video memory which was mapped into those addresses. So, 640k limit of actually usable RAM, and nothing the OS could do about it — all IBM's fault, not Microsoft's.

(Well, short of horrible tricks, which were eventually employed.)

Therefore, I post a sample photo which has been made publicly available by photographer Petter Hegre.
Wow...her bellybutton needs a good cleaning...I always wondered why people put piercings there

Any idea what f stop and iso that was shot at? Crazy amounts of detail and this is probably even less of what it can show because it's 8-bit per channel and medium format cameras can probably record 16-bits per channel...

nice to see that what she's not quite wearing is 100% cotton, though. Jeez - I'm not sure what I'd do with that kind of detail, it's almost absurd. This leads me to fear what an 8x10 drum scan would look like.

How do you know? But hardly surprising (4:3 and ~40MP).

RAW often includes a few more pixels on the edges.

I've been with quite a lot of girls on a casual basis who have had them, can't say I've ever encountered issues, thats not to say it doesn't occur on new piercings.

New update from Pentax to be published

Pentax is going to publish the following info bit in its forthcoming Vol.2 news bit:

which are the 8 custom image modes on the forthcoming 645D.

Or put differently: Nothing new from Pentax this week
Seems like I have to post another 50MP picture to fill the gap
