All I hope is that it bankrupts Leica.

That would be awesome.
Not before they release the M10, making people sell their now-obsolete M9s at a bargain price--to me.

Don't tell me that the mirror-up button became a knob which you have to turn?

We need a push button allowing for a fluid motion from pushing it to hitting the shutter so as to avoid the mirror slap when hand-holding

I'm feeling that a lot of people are setting up unrealistic expectations regarding the price of this camera. I know people did this before the release of both the K-20d and the K-7.

I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed on the 11th.
I think you're quite right. It's amazing to me that people clamor on about FF being a bad idea because the cost is high and they're not going to sell enough and blah blah blah - and then talk up the 645D like it's a great idea, when it's going to have an astronomical price tag and presents all the problems of cost and units likely to be sold that FF does multiplied by about 10.

Falk, what about the sensor used in Mamiya announces DM40 medium format camera: Digital Photography Review ?? Probably the same IMO although the number of pixels doesn't match.

Price against the Pentax should be interesting IMO. 20,000 US$ for the Mamiya. LOL ?
MAMIYA, SINAR, ALPA, PHASE ONE use Phase One and DALSA co-developed sensors.

HASSELBLAD and LEICA - KODAK

Awesome!
Now if they can get this in my hands under 3K I'm golden.
Otherwise... in a gesture of protest, I'm going to gather all my Pentax gear in a pile and set it on fire!

I've read 645D is $3500 to start, shame to burn your Pentax gear for $500 ???

I think 645D will cost not lower than $9000-10000.

So, soon we'll know. What interests me most, and has got little attention here, is the line-up of 'DFA 645'(?) lenses that suddenly appears with this camera. Will we be looking at another APS-C 'theoretical lens collection' for a few years or will they pull their finger out? I'm guessing, what with the slow-down on APS lenses, that we'll have three or four 645 lenses pushed out in short order...

....anyone like to make any guesses? We already have the 55/2.8...so, a macro? a zoom? a WA prime? and a LS? Let's play the lens version of sticking the tail on a donkey for a change...

My thoughts...all rebadges or minor redesigns with WR as the main 'new' thing. Camera to have WR.
35/2.8
120/4 Macro
45-85/4.5
80-160/4.5

Indeed, ogl. I will. I just like speculating. That's why I'm here. Hell, I'm not going to buy the bloody thing. I can afford MF digital about as much as I can afford a crack addiction. I'm not techy enough to make much sense in the sensor discussion. Speculating on lenses is the only form of high available to me here :-)
