but would such a beast be able to shoot video?
would pentax want to implement that? would people want it more or less because of it?
if so, could it do 2k res? perhaps 4k?

The crazy idea - 645D will be with new unknown CMOS sensor with fps higher than 2 fps and with low noise till ISO1600.

not if they used the common Koran ccd sensor.

Softpedia is a Romanian site. But the problem is the author, Florin Panaitescu, who knows next to nothing about Pentax and hate them with passion. I don't understand why they let him write Pentax articles.

LOL. I think you're dreaming...on the front page of DPR today, the latest ultra high speed Leaf digital back was released....and it's a whopping 1.25 FPS

Just accept that it's for studio and landscape shooters...I'm both so I'm hoping some well heeled sports shooters buy it and find that it's too slow for them and dump it at crazy prices

The current Kodak CCD sensors (MF size) do not go faster than 1-1.5 fps.
I don't see the possibility of Video with such specs.

How big is the sensor of the 645D?

Maybe Pentax brings it with a "small" sensor for a MF camera? 30 milion pixels on a 30x45 mm sensor. That makes it possible to give it a relatively small and compact body for a MF camera.
