37.5 MP full size image

source: Juza Nature Photography

Shot by Italian nature photographer Juza E.A. with a Leica S2, 180mm, f/9.5, 1/125s, ISO 160.

The S2 uses one of the sensors rumored for 645D, the 40MP 6µm truesense (micro lens) Kodak sensor but cropped to 3:2 aspect ratio and without an AA filter.

KAF-37500 (3:2): 47.06 mm x 32.20 mm 37.5MP (S2 officially: 45x30, Kodak official: -)
KAF-40000 (4:3): 45.76 mm x 35.34 mm 40.0 MP (a candidate for 645D)

-> KAF-37500 image

As said, another camera which still had the MUP button.
I hate to be dense, but what is "the MUP button"? Did a search for the term and only come up with this post.

Thank you Peter.
Is there something bad about having a MUP button? (I wish my K200D had one instead of having to use the 2 sec. self-timer to get it).

For all we know the button could have been moved to the other end of the camera. There were more buttons at that side in earlier design studies, some of them masked off.

Sorry, my mistake.
The button on the prototypes was labeled "M.UP".

Yes.
The M.UP button on the K-7 is labeled "LV" though

So are you suggesting that the 645D will have Live View?

Rather not. Would be the first large sensor having so. But it cannot hurt to fuel the speculation engine
But as a matter of fact, an M.UP button disappears with the appearance of a LV button. And disappeared it has...

Not sure if anyone is paying attention but they are adding more detail to the silhouette as time goes on. Now we can see the front element of the lens.

Its like an agonizingly slow reveal. Keeps me coming back for more though. The countdown is about halfway along now.

Very clever marketing if you ask me. Creates suspense and interest in the unveiling. Im not likley to ever buy one of these but im excited by the whole thing.

I was thinking to myself: "This guy doesn't sound like a Canadian" and then I noticed it was Ontario California.
