Not at all, it just show which Pentax company is responsible for which country. Pentax is far from alone in including certain Middle Eastern and African countries under the purview of Europe:

I'd have to agree.
My reading of the numbers was:
  • More cameras sold
  • Lower prices to the consumer
  • Higher profits due to efficiencies

I wouldn't like to have been one of the 800 workers at the business end of these "efficiencies", but rising profits and volumes increase the chances of the firm growing its labour force (and product line) in the future.
