The flat gun metal grey one looks quite sleek.. i'd have it. They can keep that chrome stripe though.

I wish I could have got my K200D in silver. You'd, of course, have to strictly shoot with silver FA limiteds though

I don't get plastic painted silver. It looks so, so cheap. I'd rather have the pink one.

I also have an aversion for plastic painted in chrome or silver.
There is something about it that doesn't look right.

Olive Green for me, very military, like the Leica's of yesteryear.

I have one of the silver K200Ds - and it does in fact look cheap. A bit like a toy camera. The same colour in metal would be great, but silver plastic is just so...

Then again, I have no silver limiteds. Anyone willing to donate one?

Explain the Eurovision Song Contest, then.
Eurovision is indeed bad taste all over the place IMO

Seeing these colours, I wonder what scenario is more likely:

1.) They try to sell us the ugly ones that nobody buys in Japan
2.) They assume we Europeans have bad taste

(Still happy with my white K-X, but would have prefered orange.)
I'm kind of with you there

I'm a European through and through and as everyone knows the European Song Contest is the finest musical experience in the world. We are always especially proud of the quite superlative entries (and indeed, fetching clothing and makeup) entered by some of the more obscure European nations.

These colours though, are a bit, erm. Do they even correspond to the most popular colours sold in Japan or is it just assumed that us Euros have no taste whatsoever?

You don't have to go figure. Pentax USA provided an answer to that question here:

One of the UK Pentax Pro dealers is already discounting the White, Red, Navy Blue colours ... the black is normal price.

Actually, that's a PAT canned answer from the marketing guys. They could enforce a no-return policy on special order colors. Those dopes don't realize how big NCAA sports are in this country. They could do University/College color schemes that would rival the Japanese market. Next time you are on a Campus, go by the Book Store and Garment shop and have a look around. It would take a bit of planning. I think the real reason was that the Pentax manufacturing capacity wouldn't be able to keep up much beyond the Japanese market and the other colors in the U.S. and Europe.
