New classical LIMITED (WR)
It looks like that
Hopefully, they won't forget the aperture ring (see DFA(J) WR). Degraded FA limiteds -> (D)FAJ limiteds?

Why should one change to SDM only (like 55/1.4) and loose the aperture ring (and perhaps FF capability)? Why are e.g. used FA* 200 more expensive than used DA* 200?

I agree very much. Aperture ring is very handy and FA Limiteds are beautiful lenses. Hopefully we will see more of them shorter and longer and faster.

same like Nikon.
Why not... The back element of my Canon FD 85mm f/1.2 S.S.C. Aspherical is definitely smaller than the diameter of the K-mount bayonet.

my point exactly, I modified one of those lenses to pentax K mount and it works fine....though it is less tolerant of flare than the FA77 limited is, and infinity focus was difficult to achieve.
