I upgraded today on my K10D but the debug mode (using .txt technique) doesn't work anymore.

K10D, K20D, K200D, K2000 and K-m.

No updates for K-x and K-7 (I think they already have updates either as silent ones or right inside 1.01 and 1.03)
It may have been that this issue was updated as part of a code review during the development process of modern firmware as a "design improvement", and Pentax recently discovered that the old code had real-world implications with some SDHC cards and backported the fix.

Both my old ist *DL and current K100D non-Super are SDHC-compatible. The DL gained it in a firmware update; I'm pretty sure the K100D had it out of the box.
Probably depends on when you bought the k100d.

I just purchased the k100d (not super) from best buy a few weeks ago. It was a refurb model and it had the 1.0 firmware installed. I had to upgrade the firmware in order for it to support SDHC

In my K200D small -100u correction was not reset after software upgrade.
I've checked it using debug mode - so it still works
Good

How did you do the -100u correction?

I created MODSET.445 file with

[DEBUG_MODE EN] enter
[OPEN_DEBUG_MENU] enter

inside.

Hint - last line must be present, so after [OPEN_DEBUG_MENU] you must press Enter.

Copy file to root on SD card and insert to camera.
Power on with card door open, press MENU, (you will get list of menu with DEBUG MODE ON on top) press OK.
Power OFF, close card door, power on, and you got acces to AF adjust.

I corrected little BF with -100u value.
After all you corrections are done.
Power on with card door open, press MENU, (you will get list of menu with DEBUG MODE ON on top) with arrows change DEBUG MODE ON to OFF, and press OK.
Power OFF, close card door, power on, and thats all. Camera is in normal state.

I made this operation after software upgrade, to check if my correction was not reset, so with my K200D it still works fine.

Sounds good; assuming that debug for K20D is still possible then?

More importantly, can you downgrade or is it a one way upgrade? Just got my K20D & FA 43mm shooting in harmony and I'm happy to stay where I am.

Same here - I just got my FA*200 focusing working nicely with my K20D thanks to debug mode.

Is this confirmed by anyone else?

If yes I will stick with firmware 1.3 then
