No kidding. What is this world coming to?? Where is JC Pentax when we need him (do we need him?)?? I am not gonna buy 645D any more. At least I will limit myself to two of those instead of three.

My cameras, back to the K10D, support SDHC to 20 MBps (SanDisk Extreme III). The speed difference, in the camera, between the Ultra II (which is a Class 10, or nearly so) and the Extreme III is quite clear.

IIRC, Class 10 = sustained write speed of 10 MBps.

Are you referring to *ist systems or some card capability other than write speed? Card speed is, in part, a physical issue (electronic circuitry) and not necessarily fixed with new software.

I think the company is finally listening to us. Tomorrow they are releasing a firmware update for Pentax ME super.

I am currently using the hacked K10D firmware as my camera needs +120 focus adjustment .. does anyone know if this will be reset if I flash the new firmware and can I still access the debug menu using the .txt file method described elsewhere?

I have a small question regarding firmware updates..
I bought my k20d used last fall, and always asumed it had firmware v1.03
but now I checked, since they are releasing these uppdates, and notice it is version 1.00 .. so my question is this? do I update straight to 1.04 or do I take all the updates one at a time?

You can upgrade straight to 1.04 without the need for previous updates.

In my K200D small -100u correction was not reset after software upgrade.
I've checked it using debug mode - so it still works

Answered my own question, flashed firmware and can still access debug mode via GX10_DebugControl programme on PC.
