Strange that when I spoke to Pentax France today he had received a small quantity of the lenses. I will be getting my copy by the end of next week..

It's not a hoax... he just made a joke about it being a hoax on the french forum bcs some people didn't want to believe him.

Btw, DA* (at least the 50-135mm, don't know for the 16-50mm) were also released in Japan today...

Sorry about the confusion. The source of the info didn't say anything on DPR, it was me who translated a post of his on there. The guy seemed to have been meaning his statement ironically...

Now that I see Ben's feedback and that I can see the image of the lens, I realize that. Though I'm not sure I would trust the judgement of someone who doesn't know how to mount the lens hood correctly...
