Stayed in Rom for a few days. The Voigtlander Nokton 35mm 1.2 was very helpful in the dark churches and museums.
Nice Rainer, I especially like the last one. Have you done any portraits with the 35 mm f/1.2?

Yes, I have. We spent the nights in a restaurant near our hotel. First night I use the Nokton for some dinner snapshots.

Very nice.

I have been looking into the GXR and I am very impressed.

Considering selling some gear and venturing into this.

cheers

Are there any information about the best apertures of A12 28 and A12 50 modules?

I've found that A12 50 is sufficiently sharp across the whole frame at all apertures. By f/4.5 it is bitingly sharp. Normally for all APS-C cameras and lenses I wouldn't go beyond f/16 but I am going to have to look up my pictures to ascertain that.

So, I have taken a lot of pics this week.

The GXR-M plus the Nokton 35mm f1.2 is a dream team!

Very good sharpness at f1.2, better on every f stop.

f1.2

f1.4

f1.8

f2

f1.2 or f1.4, I dont know it anymore... :-)

The A12 50mm is handicapped with f2.5.

Both at f3.2. Two crops to show that the Nokton is more in details.

A12

Nokton

The Pentax Super Takumar 55mm 1.8 is good sharp in the middle at f1.8, but the Bokeh...

f1.8

Tell my wife, its here package...

BTW.

We often are dissatisfied with the viewfinder VF-2. But once again I love the work with it on a tripod. Its a dream to change the angle of the finder in any kind to fit the position of the tripod needs.
I´m not shure if I really will have a new body with build in finder?!

I read on one of the Ricoh forums that Epson just came out with a new higher resolution viewfinder, which may allow for a VF-3. That's one of the three things I think they need to improve to keep the GXR competitive, the other two being sensor performance and AF speed.

Just an unplanned shot with the GXR with S10. Didn't have a tripod on hand.
