Some amazing photos and skilled photographers in this thread! Here are a couple i've managed to capture recently.

I picked up a GRD IV a couple weeks ago and am very impressed with it. I love the EXTRA depth of field for a change. Great for a 28mm equivalent. I tend never to need very shallow DOF at that focal length. That stuff can be left for the GXR to handle.

Got mine two days ago! I'm already in love
I didn't have much time to use it yet, but so far it seems to handle difficult contrasts like a pro. It really nailed what I had in front of my eyes in the picture below.

Two quick tips.
First I added a little ring to the strap, so I can tighten it around my wrist. The GR is so tiny compared to my K-5, sometimes I'm not confident yet in my grip
For now it's an ugly plastic ring, I'll eventually replace it with a thinner one.
Oh and the strap hole at the bottom of the camera is genius!

I noticed the charger's output is 5v / 1A, which is the same as iPhone chargers –and probably most smartphone ones. So you can pack just one for two devices, nice! Also I don't know if it's the case everywhere in the world, but the French iPhone chargers are very compact, much better than the Ricoh one.

Really nice photos so far. That one of the snake is fantastic. Here are a couple of street pictures I took recently with my original GRD. After 8 years the adjust lever is starting to act a bit funny. It's a bit sad, but I'll probably replace it with a GRD IV when it finally goes.

Lovely shots, I love that snake also. Now the GR is on the horizon (yes, I know some of you already have it, some of us need to wait... finances and all that) I'm tossing up about getting a GRDIV or a GR. I know they are completely different cameras, however I wouldnt mind having a little bit of shake reduction, and they dropped it from the GR (which surprised me). I'm getting reallyf fed up with teh broken battery latch in my III, and I think either way, if I got the GR or the GRDIV, the battery from the III would fit. So a spare battery straigh away.

Costwise over here theres not a massive difference either, $200, maybe.

I don't think the lack of SR is too much of a concern thanks to the high ISO capabilities of the GR.

Also, for only $200 difference, I would say go for the GR

The way I'm seeing it is the new GR is the GRD IV with APSC sensor, while the new Q is now the GRD IV with interchangeable lenses, so worth having both.

Nicely put, but I dont want interchangeable lenses to avoid LBA... And I like the 28mm POV more than expected...

Hehe, seems you got hooked

That's the danger with this camera, once you get one you barely use something else. Must be even worse with the GR.

Nice shots BTW
