I've been remiss with my GR. All in-camera conversions:

I am in love with this little camera. The Mrs. wasn't particularly pleased with me for buying it - what do I need another camera for? - but this photo brought her around:

And good stuff, too. All three are textbook examples of image composition. Excellent use of negative space, rule of thirds, selective lighting, leading lines - also the implied leading line in the second one where the gentleman's gaze will lead you to the neon sign.

I really like these

Ooh, congratulations! I don't think it will disappoint you

I would strongly recommend reading the manual. There are so many clever configuration options and well thought out ways to do things. As I learnt my way around the camera I kept thinking "hey, that's clever - I didn't even know I wanted that, but I do!"

There are some things I find handy that I'm not sure are mentioned in the manual.
- Even if you are in manual focus mode or snap focus mode the AF button will always work
- No matter if you are in normal focus range or macro mode, the AF button will trundle through the entire focus range.
- In M mode the exposure compensation +/- button will give you auto exposure (like Pentax' "green button").

And some things I did find in the manual:
- While pressing the UP/Macro button the e-wheel will change focus distance in MF/snap focus mode.
- You can configure "Full Press Snap" to trigger Auto-Hi ISO (rather than the normal Auto ISO range). I do this and set 1/250th as preferred shutter speed as I want to avoid motion blur/camera shake when I'm in a hurry.

Also, if you press the Review button when the camera is off you will, of course, be able to look at the pictures on the SD card. But you will also get access to the menu system, which means you can configure buttons and such without having to turn the camera fully on.

The camera feels good! I skimmed thru the manual and have a few test shots. I definitely need to explore the settings and come up with a preferred set up. I like the possibilities with the MY1-3 tabs!

Yeah, and that you have six "library slots" in the "My settings Box" to store sets of settings if you want to swap what the MY tabs do.

I use MY1 as my default position so that I always know what settings I start with, since the GR remembers most changes you do in e.g. Av mode. (I prefer Av mode, f/5.6, 1/60th, Full Press Snap distance at 2m, ND filter on the Effect button etc)

MY2 I have set for low-light/indoors shooting. That leaves MY3 for whatever I need at the time. One of the slots in the "My settings Box" is configured for high contrast B&W, a setting I have had difficulties replicating when post processing

Not that it's a great shot, but the only photo I have sold so far was taken with the GR.

The picture was used as the basis for the banners with the viking ships below.
