The GR is quite good for close-ups.

And for more general snapshots, of course.

A beautiful part of the world. On my very first journey to Africa I stayed in Fort Portal for a few days (to visit Kibale Forest NP) and also Kabale in the south west to visit Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP. Never went to Queen Elizabeth as it was quite difficult and/or expensive for a backpacking student to get there back then. Would love to go back some day.

Been enjoying my Ricoh GRii. It's my favorite go-to camera for street photography!

If you're going to the National Park, the secret is not to stay there with the cashed up tourists but in Pakwatch, the local town next to it, where the locals are. Then its easily affordable.

And it's so easy to do in "God" mode.

High Contrast B&W which, like the standard B&W mode, can't be replicated in Photoshop.

I like it! Yes, I've tried (not too hard) emulating the high contrast b&w without succeeding. I'm sure it can be done with suffucient skill - which I don't have, obviously. The lights and the darks aren't too hard, I think, but I couldn't figure out how they separate the midtones the way they do.

What I have done instead, since I shoot raw, is to post process the image in the camera if I want that look. A bit fiddly but it works. And it surely takes less time than trying to find the godly recipe in Photoshop
