For someone that does not enjoy the 28mm focal length as much as others.... do you wish it had a 50mm FOV lens instead? That is my only hesitation of buying this camera... the fact it could be too wide...
It's that feeling exactly, that had me bring my K-7 and fast fifty (see above) with me traveling, but I quickly found the GRDIII's 28mm simply made me change and grow in my photography and I wound up not using the K7 much after a bit. The two never replaced one another, but I think if you get to know 28mm on a different level, without the ability to change right back out of it, it does something different... And believe me the GR 28mm is quite a bit of 28mm.

And of course, this is just my experience and opinion. My opinion is also that if Ricoh put out a true fast 50mm native cam in the same spirit, I'd probably buy it. Or, simply a rebuilt GT-1 converter... Mine is working great for 50mm(ish), but it has its drawbacks.
