Shooting at night: How do i keep the green focus light off?

I shoot a lot in snap mode on the streets at night and sometimes the green focus light comes on - how do i keep it off?

You're talking about the GR, right? The green focus light shouldn't come on in snap mode, even at night.

In any case, to turn it off go to menu-->setup-->AF auxiliary light-->off.
