All great shots newmikey, I can never get HDR to work for me....but looking at your process, I realize the reason is, I'm just not working hard enough.

Something is fishy about that. Those scenes only happen when you don't have a camera with you. Pretty cool atmospheric conditions. Great capture.

Great shots, which have triggered fond memories of Innsbruck!

I wasn't sure it was HDR before I read it, it just looked wonderful and not extreme!

Nice pictures. I played with LuminanceHDR a bit but found it hard to achieve such a realistic look. Would you mind sharing your processing in this tool?

This is probably my best attempt so far: Sunset over River von delegopa auf Flickr

More on topic: For me the dimensions of a DSLR are sometimes a limiting factor too. My backup the Samsung EX1 has only a 1/1.7" sensor but with its small size and bright lens is really useful for meetings with friends. Some day I will replace it with something similar to the GR I guess.

Great shots, and I really like your HDR processing too (not overdone & very tasteful!).

Thank you for the processing info. The results are definitely worth the efforts. My Tripod is going to get some fresh air soon

Excellent. A year ago I thought I wanted to upgrade my DSLR, but the GR has me convinced I'd rather have a choice to grab a compact camera with great IQ.

Lovely shots, and refreshing to see such tasteful HDR.

I'm also a Linux user and use GIMP in conjunction with Dartktable. I must dry some of the tools you mentioned!
