Well i bricked my GR...

...almost
I was downloading shots form GR to my Mac and accidentally unplugged USB.
Photos survived on card, nothing happened to them, but GR after that didn’t wanted to turn on, nor mount as disk. Green led was the only thing that was working and only when GR was plugged in USB, as if it was charging. So that gave me a hint;”what if GR firmware stuck in loop that thinks it’s charging” and i unplugged battery. It helped. My GR works again!

A 'hard' reboot solves a lot of problems with electronics.

Some devices are not really 'off'. There's some power going through them to support some function or another, such as waking up from a low power mode. Removing the battery cures that!

Back in the era of Windows 95/98 etc, some wag re-wrote the words to the old George Formby song, and called it "Re-installing Windows". It was the beginning of the end of my voluntary time with Microsoft products. Still, consistency is a virtue of sorts.

Yes, unfortunately the software I work with won;t run well on any platform other than Windows. I find 8.1 very nice and stable. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the Windows Phone product.
