Will I get warranty coverage?

Over the last few weeks, I noticed that the GR's aperture wheel would get stuck on a particular aperture. It would allow me to move back & forth 1 stop either way but no further.

Was at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (no flash allowed) and stuck at f/7.1! So I had to use "Auto" to get to 2.8 which I was really disappointed in, but still got some fun shots.

Anyways, I took it into the local camera store where I bought it, and they just agreed to send it to Ricoh under warranty (hopefully!)

Has anyone else had this issue?

I had also lost the plastic lens ring when I didn't know it secretly came unscrewed in the Mall of America of all places, so I asked them to get me a new one of those as well.

Hopefully I'm able to at least get the aperture wheel fixed for free!

I don't see why not. As long as it is still in the warranty period and none of the following: "This warranty does not cover finishes or batteries, nor does it cover damages resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, dirt, water, battery leakage, tampering, servicing performed or attempted by unauthorized service agencies."

You may be charged for the replacement lens ring but you never know. Best of luck.
