Gr II lens extend and retract sound

Hi!

I just received a brand new Ricoh Gr ll, I also have the Ricoh Gr. The new Gr ll makes a squeaky and scratchy noise when extending and retracting the lens. For you who own both is there a difference in the sound when turning them on? Is this normal or has my new camera a defective lens?

See video, the first one is the Gr the second Gr II

Thanks!

Your volume is pretty high there , but my GR II makes a similar crackly sound as I call it to your GR (the first one).
