GR III - photos from owners

The proposal

seems reasonable to me.

I will duplicate my post from the topic about GR and GR II, and let's continue here

I'll re-share these, I've posted them elsewhere already. They're not jpegs from the camera, but with minor adjustments in darktable

f2.8 close-up, iso 3200

f5.6, 5:4 crop, iso 1600 + 1 stop in post, snap focus at 2.5m

f5.6, square crop, iso 1600, snap focus at 2.5m

Just a few random OOC JPEGs...I love the new B&W options. Actually don't feel the need for messing around with RAW any more.

They look really good. I like the gray tones.

low-light test

iso 12800 is very limited in practical use, even for b&w

6400, as for me, can be used fof b&w, and 3200 for colour

Your images look a lot sharper than the sample images posted on dpreview.

You see, here in the forum we see greatly reduced pictures. Therefore, visual sharpness is primarily the result of processing.
As I wrote above, the shot is slightly processed - including the "unsharp mask".

GR III came with me on a hike today. I don't think I got the memo that this is strictly a street photography camera
Photos (lightly) processed in darktable

A few thoughts now that I have some photos to pixel peep where I used auto focus instead of approximating with snap focus

1) the lens is really sharp and I like the bokeh
2) SR is a great addition, for waterfalls all it takes is 1/4s to blur the water

Quick test of wide converter.

Full photo

and fragments from the very corner

@ 2,8

@ 5,6

@ 11

In short, i`m impressed: GR III with converter at 2.8 has the edges at least not weaker, than the DA 15 mm limited at 5.6.

I feel obligated to post an off-the-cuff cat photo. (JPG side-car from RAW+JPG)

(I've still not really had opportunity to do real shooting with this tiny beast yet)

Shot a few more, with as little effort as possible (sorry), just for posterity and the very curious. All handheld, SOOC JPGs.

Full Image Link 1/800 | f/2.8 | ISO200

Full Image Link 1/80 | f/10 | ISO200

Full Image Link 1/30 | f/2.8 | ISO2500

Full Image Link 1/6 | f/10 | ISO6400

and this one was one of the first shots I took...
Image Link 1/25 | f/2.8 | ISO6400 with "Hard B&W" in-camera JPG setting

**edit - took one more just now for a slight comparison to the last one.
1/30 | f/3.2 | ISO800 "Hard B&W" again
