GR III came with me on a hike today. I don't think I got the memo that this is strictly a street photography camera
Photos (lightly) processed in darktable

A few thoughts now that I have some photos to pixel peep where I used auto focus instead of approximating with snap focus

1) the lens is really sharp and I like the bokeh
2) SR is a great addition, for waterfalls all it takes is 1/4s to blur the water
Awesome price. Where were these who?

I rented a GRiii and hope to take it out for a proper spin this weekend, but one of my favorite (cat) models was willing to stand in while I set up and got used to the settings. Here is my 15.5 year old cat, Q. (He was named by the shelter after the James Bond characters.) This is a jpg crop.

My GR III arrived on my porch around 7 PM. That gave me enough time to charge the battery and play with the controls before I took my dog out for his last call walk. They ain’t art but I was impressed with these one handed hand held shots.
The fog shot was taken on a morning dog walk a day or two later.
Lovely mood with your night scenes!

Taken a few minutes ago

Bandit resting on a chair in my office. Taken from the edge of desk with my two week old GR III on a mini-tripod using Highlight weighted metering setting. Note we have a prismatic film over the windows in here that blocks the ugly view but allows morning sun illumination. Minor tweaking in LR.

A little hard to see the screen in the bright sunlight today but am having fun with it.

A neighborhood church moved an old piano to the curb for junk pickup week. I first discovered it on a last call dog walk and returned the next day with my GR III. Note the monochrome conversion was done in post and not by in camera modes.
