Came across a creepy place today... Walked along a dark path in the woods, when I saw this tree...

it looked like out of Lord of the Rings...

Further down the path was this blood red bridge

which had an odd graffiti on it

It is possibly my favourite setting on the GRIII. It really makes the skies pop especially if there is some cloud about. I sometimes find that my "hard b&w" shots are a bit too dark when I download them and I will give a 1/3 stop bump in exposure in post. I could always use the exposure compensation on the camera but doing it after in post gives a bit more flexibility because not all shots will need adjustment.
Thanks Vendee - Hard B&W

Most times you have to put in a bit of work to get a good shot. Occasionally you get really lucky and your subject lands right in front of you, stays there for 5 minutes and doesn't mind your camera being 3 inches away from it.

I'm having a blast with this wonderful camera! Love the image stabilizer in this small camera body.

Some really nice photos here. I especially like the close-ups.

I usually use my GR III when traveling, but it hasn't been a great year for that to say the least. Here are a few photos I took last year.

There seem to be quite a lot of GR III users, but only a few reviews in the database so far. Did you know you can review this camera here?

I've only had my GRIII for about 3 months so any review would just be first impressions. I may leave a review once I've used it a bit more.

Buying a GRIII is one of the best decisions I’ve made since my return to photography. It’s always with me and in these times of semi-isolation when my subject is mostly my dog and myself, it keeps me engaged in the hobby when a larger DSLR would be an encumbrance much of the time.

Favorite setting: Hard mono + highlight metering. In LR I frequently weather and leather myself by pushing the Texture, Clarity and Dehaze sliders to the right. A lot to the right.
