How does the finish of the body feel? It looks tantalizing, but not enough to trade in my "normal" GRIII for.

I had GR III, the black one, and now I have this one, GR III Street Edition. My opinion is in accordance with many reviews, the black one looks like a high quality compact camera, but GR III Street Edition looks very premium. Especially when you hold it in your hands.

The surface is GR III SE is a bit more smooth (in comparison with the black GR III), the look difference is like having a car with an ordinary polish and a metalic polish.

It is very discreet as well.

My black model has a green JJC ring, it's what I think of as a little Pentax-y touch, and fits the all-black aesthetic while giving it a touch of a focal point.

The orange ring looks a bit Hasselblad-ish (shutter button of X1D and H6D seems to have a similar color).
