I can see a difference between 80 and 800 ... colors are just so much better at 80. I know you weren't disputing that, though.

I use 800 on the K-5 but if I have to go higher I know I won't be getting a great shot.

That doesn't really make sense. No FF camera, not even the A7s, has ISO 800 that is as good as ISO 160 on your K-5iis.

And besides, I don't really hesitate at all to use ISO 800 on my K-5. Of course I leave it at ISO 80 as often as I can because of the headroom it gives me in PP, but I only very rarely encounter problematic noise in my ISO 800 shots.
Dont respond to people who post senseless words like that. ISO 400? No Problem on a K-5II... Very good shots indeed. K-5IIs should be better than that... hum?
My good guess is, there are some Canikon "Headhunters" around on Pentaxforums, who like to pull Pentaxians over to their brands, who are actually really crappy to use.
I recently tried some Canon and a Nikon D7100 and my conclusion is: NOTHING BEATS THE HANDLING OF A K-5II (maybe the K-3 OK)!!!!
I really want to buy the Pentax K-4, K-8, K-6 or whatever it's(FF Pentax DSLR) name will be.
Lenses? C'mon, take a look at the lens database. Besides, the DA*300, DA*200, DA 35mm 2.4, DA 40mmXS, DA 50mm and PENTAX DA Star 55mm F1.4 SDM all work on FF without vignetting, even Canon users mod them to mount them on their 5D's, besides that, they recently put a new DFA on the table..., all the FA limiteds...(pros work with primes), FA's and even the FA-J 19-35 are still in production.

With the exception of the 35mm Macro, every prime lens from 31mm on up works on FF.

Even the 35mm isn't altogether unusable. It would crop to APS-H easily. Heck even the Sigma 8-16mm isn't unusable.

It's obvious that zooms need to be introduced; Pentax realizes this of course and is working on it...

all lenses "work" and will work on a ff... I hope for a "crop mode switch" in the cameras firmware menu... but the "infra"- wide angle (most of the primes under 35mm)primes do not work according to ricehigh and some forum posts...

How does this contradict previous post ?

Oh, btw, you may want to (your choice of course) to stay away from Ricedown divagations... (is 'divagations' proper english? Firefox spell checker suggests 'dilatations' ROTFL).

According to Google Translate, it is... I learned a new word today.

I think most native English speakers would use the phrase "incoherent ramblings" in its place.

Ah, thanks, that sounds more English indeed.

Yes, and at close distances I don't think you have to crop at all.
