Way cool! They even have a working prototype! And now they're solving the lens issue. Seems like they're not dead in the water after all then.

The obvious solution is buy Tokina. Lens problem solved That's what Steve Jobs would have done after this sort of leak.

This will be a very interesting thread to follow and see what the "FF Whiners" have to say! (yes, pun intended )

Hopefully for those desperately wanting a FF Pentax, this will come to reality.

Best of luck !

Good news! Mostly because it would be nice to see Tokina and Pentax collaborating on lenses again.

shouldn't it be in the 'Official Pentax News' category?

I'm glad - the price of my FA*s probably just went up!

Cheers,
Cameron

Nice. The funny thing is that I just don't see Pentax as having that much lack in the lens department. they have a lot of full frame lenses in their catalog that it wouldn't be that hard to dust off. A 24-70 f2.8 and a 70-200 f2.8 plus a prime wider than the FA 31 (FA 20 f2.8 or FA *20) and you are good to go. I currently own five primes that are full frame (and are currently produced) the FA 31, DA *55, FA 77, D FA 100mm and DA *200. That's decent coverage already in my book, except for the zooms.

Count me in the body issue camp (in more ways than one).

Sounds rumorish...who was this guy? Was he speaking publicly? Officially? Have Pentax Ricoh responded? Dont mean to be a wet blanket, I am just very interested in details.
