Originally posted by Clavius I even have the feeling that the SR slightly blurs the image a bit. Even handheld, I prefer shooting with SR off and an appropriate shutter speed, for that reason. I get more keepers that way.
Personally, I don't give a rats *** about build quality for a tool that I'll replace on a yearly basis. It should hold up for about 1 year. Because honestly, what's the resale value of that K5 that I bought for €1200,-?
Well... yes.. i could clearly see the blur in many of my K-7 images. I had many important (emotionally) images kinda half messy because of that issue, i then learned when to use SR and not.
Today... i dont miss it.. not with the sensor i have now.
Well, build is a personal preference... For many its important. For most Pentaxians im sure its important, and for me that was what i loved so much about my K-7 because i used it in a way that many times required it to be tough. Today i have all plastic fantastic gear, and i miss the Pentax build.
But... i've dropped my 50 1.8G alot of times and the plastic actually saves it i think
I would hate to drop a FA Ltd into the concrete....
